About Virgil
I met Virgil Adams in 2001. I wish I had met him 60 years earlier. Talking with Virgil Adams is a pleasure. Reading Virgil's writing is a treat. Knowing Virgil is a privilege.
Virgil has worked professionally as a writer, a gardener and a teacher. I've read many of the weekly columns he still writes for the Jackson County newspaper. He has a knack for words. Recently he shared with me some of his other writings. They number in the thousands.
Many of you knew Virgil when he was writing gardening and outdoor articles for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Others when he was working as news editor for the Cooperative Extension Service at The University of Georgia and others when he was teaching gardening courses throughout the state.
With Virgil's consent I've built this site to share his writings with the world.
